Solar Images (December 14 2012)

Sun

After ng press conference nagobserve kami sa may parking lot ng Annabel's Restaurant kasama ang media. fun experience with them. Sun is very active at that moment, kaya nagastrophotography ako, I used the Coronado PST for solar flares and a solar filter for Sunspots.

Venus Transit (June 6 2012)

Venus Transit

The most rare astronomical event for this century. This will be the last Venus Transit for this century. The Philippines is lucky to seen this rare astronomical event that can be seen only to some parts in our world. Together with my Astro Mates we conduct an observation to this astronomical event.

Partial Solar Eclipse (May 21 2012)

Partial Solar Eclipse

the Philippines is lucky to see the partial solar eclipse, and we astronomy lovers really prepare for this wonderful event. May 20 2012 me and my fellow astronomy students had an overnight at RTU, so we can prepare the event tomorrow morning, that night we are so unlucky about the weather, the plan is we will observe the night sky but suddenly its raining and it stop at around 11, so we still continue what the plan is, we observe the night sky but still cloudy the only visible star is VEGA from the constellation Lyra.. we practiced to assemble and disassemble the telescope at the dark place.. alignment and focusing of the telescope when our kuya miguel felt sleepy we decided to pack up and took some rest so we can have energy for the event.. May 21 2012... morning 5am.. im still awake didn't sleep because of spooky things.. when we went up to the 7th floor of our building (roof deck) we notice that it is still lock so the astro boys dismantle the door yipee! :)) now we are ready..

here are the pictures that i've taken...

my eyes are so lucky to see this partial solar eclipse

Sun Observation (May 18 2012)

Sun Observation

May 18, 2012 when me and my fellow astronomy students had a practice for the up coming astronomical event, the transit of venus... we take advantage to took pictures of the sun and its sunspots... the sun is very active, the maximum level of the sunspots will last until next year and be back to its normal level...

so here are the pictures of the sun that i've taken :)
